MSNBC liberal anchor Joy Reid’s show has been canceled due to poor ratings.
Reid’s show “The ReidOut” has been axed as part of a major overhaul under the network’s new president Rebecca Kutler, the New York Post reported Saturday.
Reid’s 7 pm anti-Trump program will be replaced by a new panel show featuring co-hosts Alicia Menendez, Michael Steele, and Symone Sanders-Townsend, insiders claim.
Reid will reportedly host her last show on MSNBC this week.
Other programming changes at the NBCUniversal-backed cable network are also expected.
But despite the new leadership under Kutler, it appears the network will double down on the anti-Trump bias.
“Our jobs are hard on a normal day, and these are not normal times,” Kutler told employees after her new role was announced last week.
The shakeup comes amid dismal ratings figures, with the network losing half of its viewers in the aftermath of the 2024 presidential election.
Infowars founder Alex Jones reacted to the news Saturday, saying the network’s move is equivalent to “rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.”
“I gotta tell you, nobody is buying this BS anymore,” Jones said.
“How do you cancel something that has almost no viewers? Clips of her, people making fun of her, have hundreds of millions of views a week. I know we did routinely. But the actual show? About a 100,000 viewers. That’s absolutely nothing,” he added.
Many others on social media said the cancellation of Reid’s show was a long time coming given her unhinged, racist, and ridiculous rants and “analyses” in recent months.
Will Reid claim the cancellation was due to racism, especially since it happened during Black History Month?
